About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist Registrar to join our team at headspace Oran Park. As a Clinical Psychologist Registrar, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to young people aged 12-25.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with young people and their support systems to identify their support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans.
  • Provide evidence-based focused psychological strategies to support young people's mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary headspace Oran Park team and external service providers to maximise care outcomes for young people.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a registered psychologist, working towards clinical endorsement as a registrar.
  • Eligible for a registered psychologist Medicare rebate.
  • Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
  • An understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people and their family, friends, or carers.
  • High standard of computer literacy and data entry competency, including MS Office and demonstrated capacity to learn new technologies, including clinical software packages.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel locally as part of the role.
