About This Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Wilbur software engineering team at Claim Central Group.

This role focuses on the development of our existing Wilbur Software-as-a-Service product, which uses C# (ASP.NET Core) and Ruby for the back-end, Angular for the front-end, hosted in AWS ECS, and RDS Aurora (MySQL). The successful candidate will primarily focus on back-end development.

This is a permanent role that offers a flexible work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. Interstate candidates are encouraged to apply, with the option to work fully remote.

Main Tasks:
  1. Develop software components using C#, Ruby, and Angular
  2. Collaborate with engineers, UX designers, product owners, and business analysts
  3. Contribute to technical documentation
  4. Identify and implement effective technical solutions
  5. Minimise solution complexity
  6. Assist team members to achieve sprint goals
  7. Minimise the impact of faults within the products
  8. Provide feedback on team performance and suggest improvements
  9. Share knowledge throughout the team
Essential Qualifications:
  • Degree or qualification in computer science or related industry experience
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Some experience with ASP.NET Core
  • Experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, etc., for modern front end SPA development
  • Efficient time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills to build strong working relationships
  • Proactive and results driven
