Job Title: Conservation Officer

About the Role

The Kimberley Region is a remote and complex landscape renowned for its natural beauty and cultural significance.

This position offers development opportunities for Aboriginal people with preference given to Yawuru Community members or approved Yawuru applicants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in manual activities related to conservation and recreation management
  • Liaise and interact positively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Operate equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters, and common maintenance tools

Selection Criteria:

  1. Experience or interest in working on country and ability to participate in manual activities related to conservation and recreation management
  2. Evidence of ability to liaise and interact in a positive manner
  3. Have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team
  4. Experience in operating equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters, and common maintenance tools
