Fabrication Specialist

About the role:

• We are currently seeking a skilled craftsman to join our team at a leading coal producer's mine.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for completing planned and unplanned maintenance of mining equipment, ensuring compliance with site and statutory occupational health and safety regulations. You will also maintain a strong focus on workplace safety for yourself and others.

Duties will include:

• Compliance with site safety and health management system requirements.
• Prioritizing and undertaking specified work to the required standard and within timeframes.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
• Minimizing production downtime.
• Participating in the Continuous Improvement Program.

• This position is offered on a lifestyle roster, allowing for a residential lifestyle in the nearby Mudgee district.

Key Requirements:

• Fabrication/Engineering Certificate III Trade qualification is essential.
• Ability to produce and maintain welding standards compliant with AS1554.
• Experience in Thermic Lancing and Air Arc Gouging processes.
• Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing job safety environmental assessments, risk assessments & permits.
