Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Educator to join our team at YMCA Queensland.

Job Description:

As an Educator, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to primary school children. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing educational programs, activities, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the children. This will include developing and maintaining relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement educational programs, activities, and events that promote learning and development;
  • Provide high-quality care and education to primary school children;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and colleagues;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve program goals and objectives;
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or a related field;
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification;
  • A Positive Notice Blue Card;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
