We are seeking a Senior Research Officer in Computational Biology to join our research team at UNSW Australia.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead and contribute to bioinformatics and statistical analysis, with a primary focus on statistical fine-mapping and functional bioinformatics to discover novel genetic variants.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to bioinformatics and statistical analysis
- Statistical fine-mapping and functional bioinformatics
- Discover novel genetic variants
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analysing population-scale whole genome/transcriptomics datasets using open-source libraries
- Strong publication record
- Experience in managing multiple collaborations
