About The Role

We're seeking a Key Worker to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families in Launceston and surrounding areas. This is a full-time or part-time (4 days per week) position that requires availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments.

Your Everyday
  • Work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds and community centres
  • Conduct initial appointments with families, using assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child and goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, Speech Pathologists and family members to support children's development
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports
  • Document and bill for each session through our online participant management system
  • Provide support for children after school to establish consistent routines
  • Attend team meetings and share stories of impact
  • Meet with Team Leaders and Therapy Mentors for guidance and support
  • Participate in online mentoring sessions to build knowledge and skills

Who We Are Looking For

We're looking for individuals who resonate with our values and can seamlessly integrate into our dynamic environment. To work as a Key Worker, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.

  • Occupational Therapist: Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
  • Physiotherapist: Degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration
  • Speech Pathologist: Degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
  • Educator: Degree in Education and full teaching registration with the relevant state education authority

You will also need:

  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
  • Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments
