We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Manager to lead our systematic equities team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement internally managed systematic portfolios, leveraging quantitative expertise.
- Develop and execute research projects to enhance existing strategies and create new ones, driving growth and innovation.
- Provide strategic leadership to the systematic investment team, focusing on the development of the quant investment process and infrastructure.
- Significant experience in institutional asset management, with a strong track record of portfolio construction.
- Advanced quantitative background, with expertise in building and applying large data sets and disciplined equity investment processes.
- Experience in systematic equities portfolio construction, with a deep understanding of market trends and risk management.
- Excellent people and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with the Python data science ecosystem, with the ability to apply technical expertise to drive business outcomes.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and drive stakeholder engagement.
- Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, or a Mathematics-related field such as engineering, with a CFA qualification highly desirable.
Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency status is required for this role.
