The role of a Business Advisory Manager is to provide financial analysis and reporting services to RSM clients. This includes analysing financial information, preparing financial reports, and maintaining records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.

As a Business Advisory Manager, you will also be responsible for the management and development of junior staff. You will work closely with partners to ensure the effective management of client relationships and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented.
  • Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry.
  • Consider a long-term perspective on clients' industries and identify possible opportunities and risks for the client.
  • Advise clients on practical and commercial issues and develop solutions that genuinely add value to the client's business.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.
  • Meet with clients and form positive relationships.
  • Manage the workflow of the team and communicate with partners on a frequent basis on necessary matters.
  • Review the work of junior team members.
  • Evaluate if the processing of information into the Firm's systems has been properly recorded.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal, and accounting reporting standards.
  • Design, develop, and analyse financial models.
  • Identify, research, and resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Analyse management accounting reports and provide advice to clients.
  • Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, super funds, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Deliver complex tax planning for clients.

Estimated salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
