Seeking a skilled Optical Dispenser to play a key role in our Melbourne optical centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting members with eyeglass frame and lens options, fitting and adjusting lenses, dispensing eyeglasses and contacts, and answering questions regarding prescriptions and merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on a rotating roster including weekend shifts
  • Measuring member's eyes for pupilary distance
  • Fitting and adjusting lenses to eyeglass frames
  • Dispensing eyeglasses and contacts
  • Processing sales and organising prescriptions
  • Stocking department equipment and supplies
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the optical centre

Requirements:

  • A minimum high school certificate or higher qualification
  • Cashier experience or equivalent
  • Essential optical experience – Level 4 optical dispensing is preferred
