Job Title: Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at the Olinda Creek Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run the pass during busy service times to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of dishes to surpass guest expectations
  • Menu planning, inventory management and food preparation
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Create and manage staff rosters
  • Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
  • Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment - Italian Kitchen
  • Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets
  • Trade Cooking qualifications
  • The desire to be part of a fun, productive and professional team
