Job Title: Director of Corporate Services

Yarra Ranges Council is seeking an experienced executive or senior leader to drive organisational excellence and lead a diverse Directorate to deliver exceptional community outcomes.

About the Role

The Director of Corporate Services will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to the Council and the Yarra Ranges community, while ensuring a strategic approach in decision-making and service delivery. This role will bring a strategic, innovative, and operational perspective to ensure the highest standards of service delivery are achieved across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a diverse Directorate to deliver exceptional community outcomes
  • Drive a high-performance team culture
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational excellence
  • Ensure a strategic approach in decision-making and service delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve organisational goals
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven experience in leading, empowering multi-disciplinary teams during times of change and transformation
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive and embed contemporary corporate services practices
  • Ability to be agile and work at pace to deliver outcomes
  • Experience in driving and embedding contemporary corporate services practices within a Local Government, public sector or broader service delivery environment
