Occupational Health Specialist

Job Overview

The Occupational Health Specialist plays a pivotal role in leading environmental and safety initiatives within factories, ensuring seamless compliance with regulatory frameworks.

This position is responsible for providing expert guidance and leadership in all areas of occupational health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion OHS and Environment within their business unit by implementing strategies to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to site directors and factory managers on OHS and Environment best practices.
  • Establish and maintain robust systems to support the Group OHS/Environment policy and procedures, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of OHS/Environment incidents and monitor completion of follow-up actions, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with agreed site OHS/Environment policies and procedures, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure timely delivery of correct data to internal and external social and environmental reporting platforms.
  • Plan and execute third-party audits according to group requirements in the areas of Safety, Health, and Environment.
Requirements

- At least 3+ years of working experience, preferably in a similar OHS role or 4 years in a management position.

- Proven experience in an SHE role in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 4 years and 2 years in a management role.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) / NEBOSH certificate is highly desirable.
