
Speech Pathology Professional

As a senior speech pathologist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact and enable patients to achieve their swallowing and communication goals in an acute environment.
This role is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical knowledge and experience in assessment and treatment of adults with swallowing and communication disorders in the acute setting.
Main Responsibilities:
Providing professional, evidence-based speech pathology assessment and intervention.
Developing positive working relationships with medical officers, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other staff members.
Participating in and providing educational support to patients and their significant others, supervision, quality improvement, and professional development.
Key Selection Criteria:
Extensive clinical knowledge and experience in assessment and treatment of adults with swallowing and communication disorders in the acute setting.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with independent professional judgment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in development, leadership, and implementation of quality improvement projects.
Previous supervision and/or leadership experience.
Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across all levels.
