
Nurse Practitioner ICU Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team on a casual basis. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care and work collaboratively to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing, with a proven track record of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the ICU setting.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care.
- Supervise and guide junior nurses to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
- A minimum of 12 months experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the ICU.
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
