Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to develop and extend your clinical expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment.

You will be responsible for providing psychological practice using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). You will also have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of practitioners across various environments, including clinics, family homes, disability group homes, day programs and schools.

We offer a range of services, including mental health assessments, Intelligence Quotient (IQ) assessments, psychoeducational assessments, school readiness assessments, decision-making capacity assessments, autism assessments and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments. You will have the opportunity to receive training to develop your skills in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing psychological practice using evidence-based therapeutic modalities
  • Conducting assessments, including mental health, IQ, psychoeducational, school readiness, decision-making capacity, autism and ADHD assessments
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team of practitioners across various environments
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
  • Registration or ability to become registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain one before commencement
