About this role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Specialist in Harm Prevention. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical information, advice, education and compliance services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on safe work practices and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Participate in strategic industry initiatives to address emerging trends and contribute to the national agenda
  • Facilitate industry forums and represent the organization
  • Conduct workplace visits and investigations into incidents, injuries and fatalities
  • Provide guidance and support to industry, workers and other agencies on prevention and response matters

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar technical qualifications
  • Industry experience in electrical system planning or design, high voltage management, forensic engineering, functional safety, hazardous plant and equipment design or management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing specialist advice and strategic leadership
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
