Senior Consultant - Internal Audit

This role involves leading the delivery of internal audit projects, ensuring timely completion, scope adherence, and high-quality standards. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored internal audit strategies that effectively address risk management and process controls.

As a senior consultant, you will apply project management skills to oversee the successful execution of audit plans from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years' experience in project delivery, possibly within internal audit or risk management, or within the public sector.

A foundation in risk and control principles is essential, along with a track record of managing audit or risk-related projects with diligence and precision. Australian citizenship and the ability to work in Canberra are also requirements. The applicant must be willing to hold or upgrade to an NV1 clearance.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are necessary to influence project teams towards successful delivery.
  • Progress towards professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, or similar) or a commitment to achieving them is desired.
  • Tertiary qualifications and experience with digital audit tools are also beneficial.
