We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Fire Suppression Technician to join our team. The role will involve installation, servicing and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment throughout the Pilbara region.

The ideal candidate will have up-to-date product knowledge, an understanding of Australian Standards relevant to PEFS Systems, and professional experience or qualifications specified by local classification structures.

This is a Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO) opportunity with the option of working 8/6 or 2/2 roster on sites within the Pilbara. A vehicle, tools and uniform are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage available time and resources, and be proactive in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Achieve full compliance to service delivery and procedural requirements, including quality, EH&S, Ethics and Trade practices.
  • Survey customer machines and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment.
  • Identify, service, and repair fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance.
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity and key performance indicator reports.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date product and industry knowledge.
  • A solid knowledge of applicable Australian Standards relevant to PEFS Systems fire protection equipment.
  • Professional experience or qualifications specified by any applicable local classification structure.
  • A technical or engineering competency with the ability to complete identified company, industry and occupational training and accreditation.
  • Current Driver's licence.
  • Certificate II in Fire Protection, Inspection and Testing.
  • Mechanically minded.
