About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Service Assistant to provide in-home support to our clients in the Sale area. As a Home Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and independence of our clients, providing personal care and domestic support to enable them to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and domestic support to clients in their homes
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare meals and snacks, and assist with household chores
  • Transport clients to appointments and engage in activities they enjoy
  • Work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care and support

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with older Victorians
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • A reliable car and valid driver's license to drive between client's homes and transport clients as required
  • Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
  • The annual flu immunisation and a willingness to obtain each year to help keep our clients safe
  • Ability to provide or obtain a suitability police check outcome
  • Ability to supply or obtain current CPR (HLTAID 009) and First Aid Training Certificates (HLTAID 011)
  • A Qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support, or similar
