The Enterprise Integration Engineer in the Systems and Platforms Team ensures efficient deployment of integration solutions across AEC's diverse enterprise applications landscape.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with System Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to design and develop integration solutions that meet business requirements and technical constraints, utilising Microsoft Azure tools like App Services, Logic Apps, Functions, and Service Bus.
  • Design, develop and implement high-quality APIs ensuring reusability, reliability, scalability and security. Manage API versions effectively ensuring backward compatibility and seamless transitions between versions.
  • Write clean, efficient and maintainable code for integration components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews. Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies including unit testing, integration testing and regression testing to verify reliability, accuracy and performance of integration solutions.
  • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and optimise for speed, scalability and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of solutions, including technical specifications and deployment procedures. Document API endpoints, authentication methods and usage examples to ensure ease of use for internal and external developers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system analysts, integration testers and other stakeholders to align DevOps practices with project goals and timelines, fostering collaboration culture.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and provide input on cloud strategy, scalability and interoperability.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Government security frameworks (e.g., ISM, PSPF).
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, integration patterns and best practices applying this knowledge to optimise existing integration processes.
  • Support change management and release coordination ensuring integration components are deployed smoothly across environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration workflows ensuring high availability, performance and data integrity across environments.
