
Medical Record Custodian

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Records Shift Worker to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with relevant standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with AS2828 standards
- Retrieve and deliver medical records to front-line staff as required
- Ensure that all medical records movement is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Operate multiple computer systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of patient data
- Provide assistance and advice to patients, staff, and external clients on release of information processes under the Freedom of Information Act
- Provide backup and backfill support for tasks within the department as requested
- Demonstrated ability to work shift work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Previous experience creating and managing records in compliance with relevant principles, standards, and procedures
- Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills, including the ability to work with competing priorities and manage sensitive issues
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service through effective communication with clients and staff at all levels
- Proven computer skills within a Windows-based environment using programs such as Excel, Word, CaresysNT, Acacia, Clinical Workstation or similar
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting medical terminology, or the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently
