Job Title

We are seeking a Medical Record Coordinator to provide high-quality medical records management and delivery services.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role requiring independent work, decision-making based on established protocols, and sound judgment to resolve issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a quality service by preparing and maintaining patient medical records in accordance with Medical Records standards.
  • Retrieve and deliver medical records to front-line staff according to service delivery agreements and operational standards.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and filing of medical records in Terminal Digit Order (TDO).
  • Operate multiple computer systems, ensuring accuracy of sensitive patient information.
  • Provide assistance and advice on release of information processes under the Freedom of Information Act.
  • Provide effective records archiving consistent with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Assist with training new staff members.
Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrate ability to work 24/7 shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Previous experience creating and managing records in compliance with relevant principles and standards.
  • Highly organized skills with initiative, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven proficiency in interpreting medical terminology and working with diverse cultures.
