About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Worker to join our team at Hong Ngoc farm (H Trinh and T Uy). As a key member of our farming operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the day-to-day activities of the farm run smoothly and that optimal crop production is achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate the production of exotic fruit such as mango crops, Jackfruit and vegetable such as snake-bean, okra, long-melon, from pruning to harvest, taking into account environmental and market factors.
• Plan production, coordinate cultivating, fertilising and watering to maintain optimal production, fruit tree health and growing conditions.
• Organise farming operations and routines, such as picking, storing, grading and packaging.
• Direct and oversee general farming activities to maintain plant health by managing biosecurity and other risks and controlling pests and weeds.
• Plan and oversee the provision and maintenance of infrastructure such as equipment and irrigation systems.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in commercial irrigated fruit farming operations and Asian vegetables such as okra, long-melon and snake-bean.
• Punctuality, reliability, honesty & a positive attitude.
• Proven experience in planning and a proactive approach to modern farming techniques.
• A strong understanding of irrigation processes.
• Experience and competence in operating essential farm machinery, including tractors, tillage equipment, boom sprays.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of pesticides is required.
• Hands-on, practical, and efficient.
• Able to understand and speak Vietnamese is an advantage.
Benefits:
• Salary is $55000 to $65000 per annum.
