About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the meat industry, with broad knowledge of meat and meat cuts, as well as strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the production line efficiently to optimize the production process, ensuring aspects of health & safety, food compliance controls, quality controls, and liaising with all team members.
  • Cutting meat to specific requirements, grinding and preparing meat for smallgoods products, curing and use of machinery for smallgood production.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the environment, tools, and professional equipment.
  • Manage inventory (meat, dry goods) for production and ordering thereof, liaison with meat wholesalers for purchase of inventory and planning meat orders based on stock on hand and forecasted sales.
  • Liaison with customers in the retail deli, providing advice for cooking, seasoning, and portion size based on customers' needs, provide excellent customer service, use of POS and payment system.
