Shift Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Supervisor to join our Hot Mills team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the plate rolling process, ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality steel products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to a safe working environment, ensuring safety standards are never compromised
- Supervise the operational activities and strive for business improvements and manufacturing excellence
- Coach, mentor and develop shift team members to enhance capabilities
- Provide technical support and problem-solving insight as issues arise
- Prioritise work and resolve problems effectively and efficiently
- A commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
- A demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop others to enhance capability
- An ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling and people demands
- An ability to translate business objectives to clear actions and outcomes for your team
- A trade or tertiary qualification
