**Service Leader Position Overview**

This role is a key position in our organisation, responsible for managing a team of Residential Care Practitioners and Youth Workers. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of our residential care service.

The Service Leader will provide mentoring, coaching and supervision to teams in alignment with the CARE model for practice. They will ensure our service is working in accordance with the CARE model, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families by taking a therapeutic centred approach.

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) is highly desirable.
  • Experience incorporating the six CARE Principals when supporting Children and Young People, or reflection on how you would incorporate these into your team's practice is essential.

Additional requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team that works with children and youth within a therapeutic care environment who have suffered abuse or neglect and are on statutory child protection or juvenile justice orders.
  • A Current Blue Card (Working with Children).
  • A QLD Driver's Licence.
  • First Aid and CPR Qualifications.
