Job Title: Procurement Specialist, In-directsDescription:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in North Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of in-direct materials and services with a focus on supporting the operations of our manufacturing plant.

  • The Procurement Specialist will develop and support ANZ Indirect Procurement Category management strategy, aligning with global strategy.
  • This role will work as part of the broader procurement network between local and global teams to develop and roll-out procurement initiatives, including sharing and reapplying best practice.
  • The Procurement Specialist will support the Annual Procurement Planning Process, lead or support strategy execution via RFP or supplier negotiation, and conduct sourcing activities such as RFPs, negotiations to completion of award.
  • This role will also lead supplier consolidation to streamline vendor base in line with logistics strategy, sourcing for alternatives to support innovation, cost initiatives, and risk mitigation.
  • The Procurement Specialist will implement and deliver Procurement targets for the assigned category (e.g. cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital, and TCO).
  • This role will lead supplier selection process with best in class tools and framework, develop supplier evaluation and audit framework in collaboration with regional and global category teams, and lead supplier development activities.
  • The Procurement Specialist will proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans, continuously evaluate the supply market to ensure that the latest information is available, and perform market analysis in close cooperation with other departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Indirect Procurement Experience in either a B2C or B2B environment
  • Advance negotiation and sourcing strategy development skills
  • Good project management and communication skills
  • Good understanding on financial metrics (i.e., Working Capital, Cost Avoidance, NSV, DPO)
  • SAP/Coupa knowledge and experience is beneficial
