About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Community and Social Performance Advisor to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our Zinc Assets Australia (ZAA) team, you will play a critical role in driving positive social impacts and promoting sustainable and socially responsible practices within our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and coordinate the development and implementation of GZAA's community and social performance functions to support the achievement of our HSEC Strategy and broader strategic objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and support the implementation of our Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Indigenous Engagement, and Corporate Social Investment Strategies.
  • Project manage social transition projects in relation to asset closures to understand and mitigate social impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Social Performance and Human Rights through assessing and addressing gaps with a focus on Indigenous Peoples, Social investment, and Stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure robust governance, records management, and reporting processes for the function.
  • Participate in the promotion and organization of IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Advancement, Local) activities and events.
  • Support the business to proactively and reactively manage media messaging.
Requirements
  • Practical experience in community management, consultation, and communication, or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Communications or similar.
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and continuously improving community/stakeholder management strategies, approaches, plans, etc. to achieve business outcomes.
  • Exposure to developing and maintaining community/customer relationships in complex organizational situations and environments to consistently deliver business outcomes.
  • Able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve business outcomes.
