Job Title

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our grid connection efforts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects, managing the connection process from development through to construction.

  • Identify factors influencing and influenced by grid connections during project development.
  • Submit grid applications to DNSPs and TNSPs, ensuring progress through NSPs and AEMO processes.
  • Negotiate with NSPs and AEMO throughout the review process to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Review grid connection offers to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Create and maintain framework agreements with ICPs and equipment suppliers.

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Grid in all states at both DNSP and TNSP levels.
  • Strong knowledge and capability of dealing with AEMO.
  • Mentor Engineers/Senior Engineers to develop and grow their skills in Grid connection space.

Work Experience:

  • Full conversant with the end-to-end DNSP and TNSP process for generator connections.
  • Experienced in negotiating legal and commercial aspects of connection contracts.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Good network of contacts across the TNSP and AEMO environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record and experience in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical and/or Power Engineering, or relative qualifications and supporting working experience.
