Key Role Details

As a Safety and Sustainability Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving improvement initiatives across the organisation. This part-time position requires working 2 days per week for 15.2 hours, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for analysing site and business risks related to safety and sustainability, developing comprehensive plans to address these concerns in line with organisational strategies and imperatives.
  • A key aspect of this role is to own and drive communication plans, engaging frontline employees to foster a positive safety and sustainability culture, and completing assigned improvement actions effectively.
  • Support line managers with initial incident response and reporting, as well as lead incident investigation processes to ensure thorough understanding and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Manage regulatory compliance, including hazardous substances management, waste management requirements, and occupational hygiene programs to ensure a safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in specialist occupational health and safety or environmental disciplines are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in high-risk manufacturing organisations, spanning multiple industries, will serve as a valuable asset in this role.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, enabling strong relationships with key stakeholders, are crucial for driving cultural change and fostering a collaborative work environment.
