Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lawyer to join our Disputes & Investigations group in Canberra.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in commercial litigation and be well-rounded in verbal and written communication skills.

The role involves conducting complex and commercial disputes, negotiations, and settlements through court, mediations, and arbitrations across various industries.

You will work closely with an existing portfolio of diverse clients and matters on contentious issues including commercial and contractual disputes, insolvency, property, planning, and construction disputes.

About the Role:

  • Conduct research and analysis on complex legal issues
  • Prepare and present evidence in court and other dispute resolution forums
  • Provide advice on compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of commercial law and litigation procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to operate autonomously and within a team
