Job Overview

As a vital component of food product quality and safety, laboratory technicians play a critical role. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting chemical and bacteriological analyses on in-line samples, finished products, and raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine testing and analysis of products using approved laboratory methods.
  • Effectively communicate test results to internal and external customers through written reports and verbal updates.
  • Maintain accurate records and calibration schedules for laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, housekeeping protocols, and environmental regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory or testing environment supporting food manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent problem-solving abilities.
