Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team at Leidos. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of equipment at various Defence sites around the nation, working closely with the Production Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and supervision of production operator teams, ensuring the efficient maintenance and operation of equipment.
  • Complete regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of CBRND equipment, adhering to the Maintenance Management Plan (MMP).
  • Manage data entry in the ERP system for all calibration, servicing, and work orders.
  • Assist with asset planning, determining usage and reporting for CBRND equipment.
  • Conduct quality and inspections of equipment to ensure accurate build records and for stocktaking.
  • Collaborate with the team to create and review SOPs for CBRND systems and associated equipment.
  • Identify and implement improvements to function and reliability of CBRND systems and equipment, analyzing performance results and recommending changes.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing site environmental health and safety policies and procedures, complying with WHS Act standards.
  • Occasional interstate travel required.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Fitter or similar.
  • Valid Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence or willingness to gain Forklift Licence.
  • Experience in supervision and leadership, preferably in a facilities, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
  • Production Technician experience in manufacturing environments, using SOPs, process flow diagrams, and recording build process results for quality documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a team and professional environment.
  • Physically fit, with manual handling of 20kg boxes required daily.
