Job Description

A key role within the Research Finance team is responsible for delivering financial services to support research activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with external partners to maintain communication and coordinate information sharing;
  • Prepare and submit timely reports; oversee commercial payments, ensuring accuracy and resolving issues;
  • Actively participate and contribute to successful delivery of tailored finance business services and high-quality financial support to the Clinical Trials Hub;
  • Deliver the annual budget and forecast submissions, staff management plans, monthly reporting (including dashboards and metrics), reconciliations, analysis and interpretation of variances, completion of financial reports and advice on forecast and budget management;
  • Maintain a high standard, culture and practice for application of research expenditure and subsequent financial reporting and acquittals to ensure activity reflects and is in accordance with grant and contract funding rules compliant with policies representing the most efficient utilisation of resources.
