Key Leadership Role in Mental Health Services
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact in the future of mental health services.
This key leadership role involves providing advanced clinical expertise and consultation across inpatient and general hospital settings, enhancing the capacity of medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver safe, compassionate care for patients with complex mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with patients, provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, care planning, and staff education.
- Contribute to strategic planning, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advocate for consumers and deliver truly person-centred care.
Essential Requirements:
- Holding current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience.
- At least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
- Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed.
- Demonstrated ability to apply expert mental health knowledge to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Advanced skills in comprehensive assessment and management of mental health consumers, including comprehensive mental state and risk assessment knowledge.
