
Capital Program Coordinator

Logan City Council is seeking a skilled professional to support the planning, coordination and delivery of design and construction activities of our Parks capital works program.
This role provides specialist expertise in managing Council's Parks Capital Works Program. In this position, you'll be responsible for monitoring project schedules and working across teams to ensure the successful delivery of park infrastructure projects that enhance the Logan community.
You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, contribute to long-term planning, implementing robust governance frameworks, and applying risk management strategies to support the successful execution of capital projects. Your leadership will help foster a culture of cooperation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project schedules and ensure timely delivery of park infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
- Implement robust governance frameworks to ensure effective risk management.
- Apply risk management strategies to support the successful execution of capital projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in project management or relevant technical field (landscape architecture, architecture, civil engineering).
- Prior significant experience and substantial knowledge in successfully managing a program of works.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in financial management of infrastructure programs and projects in a government context.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of construction, preferably with experience in parks infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 2009, Logan Planning Scheme 2015, and associated codes, standards, and regulations.
- C Class Driver's licence.
