Grinding and Polishing Hydraulic Rods

Our workshop is seeking experienced Cylindrical Grinders and Polishers to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking for long-term, stable work with excellent pay and a strong team culture.

We specialize in hydraulic cylinder repair and manufacturing, working on some of the largest equipment in the industry – including full cylinder rebuilds for machinery like the Liebherr 9800.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grind hydraulic rods up to 8m long and 450mm in diameter
  • Strip, assemble, and manufacture complete cylinders
  • Interpret engineering drawings and set up machines
  • Prepare rods for re-chroming and achieve required surface finishes
  • Work to ISO 9001 quality standards under the guidance of experienced staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in cylindrical grinding or polishing
  • C-Class driver's license and reliable transport
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Experience with ISO 9001 systems or willingness to learn
  • Industry experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate
