Senior Clinical Pharmacy Role

Opportunity for Weekend Impact

As a senior pharmacist, you will play a key role in leading patient flow on weekends and ensuring safe, timely discharges at a tertiary health care centre. You will collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services while enjoying a part-time roster that offers work-life balance.

About Your Position

In this senior position, you will deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services focusing on improving patient flow and safe discharges on weekends. You will work closely with the interprofessional team in Cardiology and other specialty areas, ensuring optimal care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based clinical pharmacy services to inpatients.
  • Act as a clinical reference point within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and mentor junior pharmacists, students, and assistants.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and quality use of medicines.
  • Participate in weekend rosters to enhance timely patient discharges.
About You / Key Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy and AHPRA registration (mandatory).
  • Proven ability to manage complex inpatient caseloads and prioritise discharges.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience supervising and training junior staff and students.
  • Commitment to variable working hours and weekends as well as an on-call roster.
