About Your Role

In this senior position, you will deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services with a focus on improving patient flow and safe discharges on weekends. You will collaborate with the interprofessional team in Cardiology and other specialty areas, ensuring optimal care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based clinical pharmacy services to inpatients
  • Act as a clinical reference point within the multidisciplinary team
  • Support and mentor junior pharmacists, students, and assistants
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and quality use of medicines
  • Participate in weekend rosters to enhance timely patient discharges
About You / Key Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy and AHPRA registration (mandatory)
  • Proven ability to manage complex inpatient caseloads and prioritise discharges
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience supervising and training junior staff and students
  • Commitment to variable working hours and weekends as well as an on-call roster

Princess Alexandra Hospital

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in major adult specialties. We deliver world-class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant. We are nationally recognised for trauma management and organ transplants and host Australia's Translational Research Institute (TRI) and a Clinical Research Facility for TRI discoveries.

We are expanding our hospital to add beds, modernise buildings, and improve spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with new services opening by 2027. We are Metro South Health, dedicated to integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, engagement, and excellence.
