Upper Strings Music Tutor Opportunity

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for tutoring violin/viola students across the School individually or in groups. This may involve working with students of varying skill levels and abilities.
  • From time to time, the tutor may be required to be actively involved in the extra-curricular music program, including ensemble direction, individual and group lessons, as well as chamber music and concert evenings.
  • Hours are available for the right applicant, worked on Wednesday and Thursday.

Key Requirements for This Role Include:

  • Relevant skills and experience in musicianship and tutelage of the upper strings in a school environment.
  • Advanced skills as an Upper Strings Tutor.
  • Current experience tutoring students (all levels) in accordance with AMEB syllabus for examination preparation.
  • A demonstrated ability to enthuse, motivate and encourage students to participate in School Music ensembles.
  • A current Working with Children Check is essential for this position. If you do not have a current check, you would be expected to apply if you are successful in securing the position.
