Full-time Foreperson Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced horse person to join our team as a Full-time Foreperson.

This role will involve the day-to-day running of a 46-horse barn, including staff management and rostering, ordering of feed and supplies, assisting vets, farriers and other service providers, communicating with trainers, staff and owners, and attending race days as required.

The successful applicant must have a passion for thoroughbred racing, be able to work in a team environment and lead by example. We are looking for someone who can manage horses and staff equally to create a positive culture within the stable.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing, proven team leadership or management experience, a good understanding of health and safety obligations and safe equipment operation, reliability and punctuality, and a current Stablehand or Foreperson licence.

A truck license is advantageous but not essential.

Accommodation will not be provided.
