Job Description

Transforming Navy's Communication Capabilities

We are seeking a skilled Messaging Technician to play a crucial role in the modernisation of the Fleet Information Environment (FIE) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining messaging infrastructure to support complex ICT systems.

Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing messaging network documentation, creating and maintaining reference architectures, providing expert advice to stakeholders and identifying innovations to enhance messaging services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Defence as a Messaging Technician, with a proven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining messaging infrastructure across distributed environments.

They should also possess expertise in integrating complex ICT infrastructure software and applications with messaging infrastructure, as well as knowledge of Exchange and AD administration.

  • Develop and implement messaging infrastructure solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive messaging network documentation.
  • Provide expert advice on messaging network design and implementation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within messaging services.
Required Skills and Experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Defence as a Messaging Technician.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing and maintaining messaging infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to integrate complex ICT infrastructure software and applications with messaging infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Exchange and AD administration.
