Job Overview:

Seeking a seasoned leader to head our Distribution Centre, driving operational excellence and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site safety, including the yard and operations, championing COR compliance and MHE safety standards.

  • Achieve cost, KPI, and service metrics through optimising service levels, productivity, and cost reductions.

  • Lead a small, agile team with a focus on coaching, development, and performance, fostering a positive learning culture.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and transport providers, handling calls from sales and customers.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-possible operational and customer outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.

  • Manage reporting, capital projects, and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Supply Chain, Warehouse and Distribution leadership role.

  • Proven ability to manage inbound and outbound logistics, reporting, compliance, and project management of improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with WMS systems (SAP/ERP highly regarded), inventory control, and load planning.

  • Knowledge of 5S lean management, Chain of Responsibility (COR) and load restraint regulations.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching and mentoring others.

  • Effective planning and organisation skills, with strong time management and coordination skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to make quick decisions, build stakeholder and customer relationships.

  • Able to work autonomously as part of a team, collaborative style, positive, resilient, innovative and challenges the status quo.

  • Must have a driver's licence and forklift licence to meet the requirements of the role.
