At BetterHelp, we're seeking experienced psychologists to join our team of clinicians. As a clinical mental health specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a private practice setting with no overhead costs. This means that you can focus on providing clinical expertise without worrying about fees or administrative tasks.

BetterHelp is looking for experienced counsellors who want to focus 100% on clinical work, not on acquiring clients, billing, support, or operations. We handle all of that.

To be successful as a clinical mental health specialist with BetterHelp, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Membership in Professional Associations: You must be a member of the Australian Counselling Association (Level 3 or Level 4), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (Clinical Membership), Australian Association of Social Workers (Accredited Social Workers or Clinical Social Workers), or Australian Psychological Society (Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist).
  • Experience: You must have at least 3 years of experience counselling adults.
  • Private Environment: You must have a private environment for conducting sessions.
  • Professional Liability Insurance: You must have professional liability insurance.
  • Background Check: You must pass a background check.
  • Reliable Internet Connection: You must have a reliable internet connection.

New providers in Australia must complete onboarding and take the first client within 14 days.

As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and workload.

Requirements
  • Clinical mental health specialists must be members of one of the specified professional associations.

  • Must pass a background check.
  • Reliable internet connection.
