Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in the Land Use Planning department.

About the Role

This is a full-time 5-year fixed-term position, working 35 hours per week. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing contribution plans to support the provision of infrastructure to meet community needs.

You will monitor the collection and expenditure of contributions, ensuring financial and reporting requirements are met, and provide guidance on the application of the plans. In addition to financial oversight, you will manage internal stakeholders and consultants to deliver new contributions plans.

Your role requires strong financial and administrative skills to ensure compliance with regulations like the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, particularly regarding Section 7.11 and 7.12 contributions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing contribution plans to support infrastructure development
  • Monitoring collection and expenditure of contributions
  • Ensuring financial and reporting requirements are met
  • Providing guidance on plan application
  • Managing internal stakeholders and consultants
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need qualifications in accountancy, commerce, or related fields, and/or experience in managing development contributions within a Local Government context.

You must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen eye for detail. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential to work effectively with developers, planners, and other stakeholders.

Experience in managing Planning Agreements and Works-in-kind Agreements will be highly regarded.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $105,577 - $124,000 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
