Job Opportunity: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy earth-moving equipment.

The role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing faults, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

About the Role

  • Performing daily inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults with mobile mining equipment using technical documentation and digital systems
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed and equipment condition
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification
  • Post-trade experience in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Proven experience in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy earth-moving equipment
  • Familiarity with CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment
