The role of senior geologist in our Snowy 2.0 project is crucial for ensuring the safe excavation of tunnels, shafts, and caverns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead junior geologists in geological assessments and support of tunnel face and shaft excavations, mentoring their development.
  • Prepare and review geology reports, sections, and other documentation for design purposes, fostering effective communication.
  • Liaise with clients, safety officers, tunnel inspectors, and surveyors to guarantee staff safety during geological field work and mapping.
  • Oversee geological mapping, assess ground conditions, and manage record-keeping for surface and underground excavation and support works.
  • Review geological data interpretation, advise on excavation methods, and approve as-built geological drawings.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in ground investigation, D&B/TBM tunnel excavation, and support, with a strong industry background.
  • Hold a degree in Engineering Geology or equivalent, and maintain professional registration status.
  • Be familiar with tunnelling observational methods, advanced tunnel software, and instrumentation systems, showcasing expertise.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
