The role of the Flight Line Technician is pivotal in ensuring seamless maintenance support for PC21 aircraft. This position entails preparing for flight activities, participating in Flight Line Planning, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance predominantly in a flight line setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft for flight activities
  • Participate in Flight Line Planning as required
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance primarily in a flight line environment
  • Ensure all entries and certifications for work undertaken are completed and certified
  • Execute line maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to Jet Aviation Core Values, Safety, Security, and Environment policies and procedures
  • Enforce FOD control procedures
  • Comply with OH&S requirements
  • Verify GSE serviceability and report defects or deficiencies
  • Use current and applicable data
  • Comply with Tool control requirements
  • Ensure accurate documentation completion
  • Assist with defect analysis and investigations
  • Conduct aircraft washing and corrosion control inspections
  • Perform aircraft towing and repositioning
  • Refuel aircraft
  • Marshal aircraft according to appropriate order
  • Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Aircraft Maintenance Certification (Aeroskills Certificate II, IV, Military/Foreign Equivalent or suitable Units of Competency)
  • Ability to receive OEM-endorsed training
  • Meet security clearance requirements at RAAF Bases
  • Desirable knowledge of DASA regulations
  • OH&S and Environment awareness
  • Customer-focused approach and safety mindset
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and weather conditions, meeting minimum physical job requirements
  • Current or ability to obtain Australian Defence Force security clearance
  • Deployability in support of Aircraft away base operations
