About the Role:

The Personal Care Worker position is a vital part of our integrated team, responsible for attending to the personal needs of residents.

This role ensures high-quality care is provided at all times, working within an established framework and collaborating with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents in living their life to the fullest, promoting independence and choice.
  • Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of residents through assessment and observation.
  • Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse and documented in the resident's plan of care.
  • Assist residents with personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging independence.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent recognised qualification (Essential).
  • Experience engaging with residents and supporting individuals with dementia.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, empathy, and patience when interacting with aged individuals and their needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care.
  • Demonstrated respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and self-esteem.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
